DESCRIPTION: EPW - Michel à Paris, gold verge fusee, quarter repeating on bell, 37mm, 18K OF original consular case with riverside fishing scene panel on back, KWKS, WED, elaborate pierced gold Louis XV hands, verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced & engraved foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, without number. Gross weight of assembled watch 31.4 dwt (48.9 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, good balance motion, good escapement function, plates show near mint gilding, little oxide on steel components; good repeat function, set to strike the nearest quarter (turning over at the half-quarter); bell tone dull, bell with casting flaw and possible crack; dial with three flakes below winding hole; hands mint; original case shows light wear, some MFS, a few FS to enamel with very small repair at center, no dents or dings; closure good; bow & pendant original, snug with light wear; good domed glass crystal.
